2. Beauty blogs...I can't go a day without reading them!! I love to learn all kinds of new things, and Steven has commented on my make up and what not more lately..so I think y'all are rubbin' off on me!

3. Karaoke...I've been obsessed for a while. I used to be super super super scared to sing in public but once I got out of my shell, I began belting all kinds of tunes!

4. Poker...Another thing that fills my nightlife like karaoke. It's been commented that I'm quite good for only playing the last 2 months.

5. Skirts...I only own about 5 skirts but if I could, I would wear them everyday!! Haha..They're just comfy and feminine...maybe I will wear them more often ;)

Fall trends...

I'm so excited to see that the 40's are being revived in the Fall trends reported on Style.com! :)

I think they're super pretty and have always wanted to live during this era! :) What do you think about the Fall fashions coming out???

Kendra wants...

Great TAG from a beauty blog that I read...

You go to Google...type in "your name" then "wants" and see what it comes up with. Blog about the top 5 results! :)

1. ..to run for the border
2. ..Bricks and Stones......may break my bones but names will never ...
3. ..Babies, too
4. ..out of Playboy
5. ..to sell you a stripper pole

That's what I get for having the name "Kendra"...everything pretty much comes up about Kendra from Playboy...

Not gonna lie though #5 makes me laugh! haha

Nails...

Went with a great OPI color that I forgot I had! haha :) It's still on and barely chipping...great stuff!

The color actually comes out a lot more red than the bottle makes it look. :)

Why wasn't I already doing this?!

I know my fellow beauty bloggers will be apalled to hear me say this...but I have always applied my foundation using my fingers. While I did find some that covered quite well, I never got the desired amount on without feeling like I had cake on my face! WELL...after reading so many of your blogs for a while now, I thought "Hey, I have a brush laying around...why not try it..." So, I did...I applied my foundation with a brush like a week ago..and I haven't turned back since!!! I use so much less and it covers so much better!!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING!??!!!?!? Hahaha...So, thanks beauty girls! ;)

Another obsession I'm finding (again) is with my nails...right now they're a horribly chipped black and I really need to re-do them!!! But I don't know what color to do...so many of the gals out there are doing a grey or brown nail...I think I have one bronzy color..but it's awfully dark (like the black) for the summer...ugh. SOOOO, any suggestions on colors?!?!?

Long, busy weekend...

This last weekend was exhauting. I can't say it wasn't fun though!!! :)

Friday, Steven had a "party" at one of our favorite bars and we enjoyed a karaoke competition. I took 2nd place and Steven took 3rd. YAY!

Saturday, we relaxed. Did some sleeping...watching movies...and making sandwiches for Sunday.

Sunday, we enjoyed a long long long day at Elitch Gardens in Denver. Rollercoasters, water park, spinning in circles, laughing in the sun...all for Steven's birthday! It was great fun!

Now today....I'm exhausted...super duper tired...and I slept for 13 hours last night!!! Ugh, I can't wait until Wednesday when I have a day off...

That being said, my job sucks...uber sucks...its super easy and boring...but they've screwed me out of hours..and I have no health insurance and I need it -badly-!! Soooo...I think I'll apply to a few places and see what I can get...

Eye can see you....

I've been indulging in a little more play with my daily make up routine. The more beauty blogs I read the more inspired I am!! THANKS GIRLS! So, my newest item to dust off the shelf was a shimmer cube set from The Body Shop.

It's a great versitle set. I can use the colors in different ways to create a day or night look. Generally, if I'm in a hurry, I just sweep on the pink over my entire lid and add the silver to my brow and inner corner for highlight...then I'm on my way with a little eyeliner and mascara.

If I'm looking for an evening look I try to add the bronze in the crease and out to the edges of my lid...and then some on the bottom lid as well. Plus, I'll use the purple as a more smokey looking liner...then basic liner and mascara after that. I know, it's not too exciting...but it works! :) Makes my blue eyes pop!

I also have to admit, while I'm at it, that I love this stuff:

I feel so girly and clean when I have it on my skin! :) Great summer scent too! YAY!

TAG: Stylish Blogger Award

Was given this award for reading a fabulous blog! Check it out! The Tag is to talk about 10 things that influence my own personal style! Here goes!

1. Cardigans - I love them. They're simple and comfortable and just the right amount of cover for either a casual look or a dressy look. I have them in all shapes, colors, and sizes (lengths).

2. Solids - I'm not a big patter girl...the ones I do wear are far and few between. But solids are always a great mix and match and look great!

3. Polka dots - This is one pattern that I'm addicted to! I can't move past a piece of anything that is covered in polka dots! I have to look!!! It's a simple but happy pattern.

4. Mascara - It's a staple in my daily life. I have blond eyelashes so it's also a must. I enjoy how just one or two coats can make a huge difference in brightening the eyes.

5. Big rings - I don't wear jewelry too often but I love a great big ring just as much as the next fun fashionista! They really make me feel fun! haha

6. Gauged ears - I have the first hole in each ear gauged to 2. I usually wear glass spirals that have a light blue line spiraled in the glass. They're unique and fun! :)

7. Black and white - I love the basic color combination. If it could, all my clothes would be either black or white and then only my rings and such would have color.

8. Floral perfume - I like floral scents rather than anything else. They make me feel fresh and pretty.

9. Flip flops - I live in them. Even in the winter. There'll be snow on the ground but if it's off the sidewalks and what not, then I'm wearing flip flops!

10. Curly hair - My hair is naturally curly and most days I just let it go and let it do whatever. I think it shows my funky, playful side! :)

I TAG whomever reads this...be sure to let me know if you do it so that I can read yours!

TAG: Honset Scrap

1. I studied abroad in Ireland the Fall of 2005. I enjoyed every second of it and really wish I could have stayed longer than just one semester. I got to travel to Paris and Rome while there and all around Ireland. Now, I feel a special kinship with the country and would honestly love to live there...but not sure how to make that happen.

2. I have one and a half fake teeth. Genetically, I'm missing my eye teeth and one grew in as a "peg" which is smaller than normal and the other was just missing. So I have a fake one and the "peg" was built up to normal size.

3. I've played classical piano for 16 years now. I love it and wish that my piano could be moved to my house instead of my parent's. But luckily, they only live 5 miles away and I can visit them often and play. I also play the Euphonium and have sang in various choirs.

4. I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Urticaria. At this point, I don't know much more about my specific conditon but the doctor's believe its autoimmune. It curses me with the chance of hives every day for no reason and I have a constant itching. I'm on several mediciines that lessen the severity but don't fix it. As a result, I've ruinned my skin from itching and then scabbing and then itching again. Plus, I'm basically miserable 24/7 and tired/groggy from all the medicines.

5. I have yet to finish college. I've been to 4 different schools with 3 different majors. I started at University of Northern Colorado doing elementary education, then to St. Pat's in Ireland doing education, Doane College in Nebraska for secondary education, and finally Aims Community College for Computer Aided Drafting. I'm about 5 or 6 classes from finishing an associates degree in libral arts or applied sciences, but I have no idea what I want to study so I just quit.

6. I work for Coca-Cola. It may sound glamorous but it's not. It's the same as any other job, I just get to work for a company that EVERYONE knows. I count money and do driver's paperwork at the end of the day.

7. I'm only 23 years old but I'm already divorced. I was married at 20 then divorced at 21. We just grew apart and decided we weren't working. But it's for the best now. He's got a girlfriend and they've got a son together and I've got a boyfriend that I live with and he's great.

8. I live in a house that is only 420 square feet. It's tiny. We have one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen/living room is one, and the porch has been covered so it's a room now too. Living there is me, Steven, our two dogs, and my cat. Tight quarters but definitely ours :)

9. My great-great-great-grandpa was one of the people that settled the state of Colorado. AA Salazar. He came up through Mexico from Spain and they settled San Luis, Colorado. It's a beautiful little town and has a simple lifestyle...but there's also very little opportunity there.

10. I hate amusement parks. It's not the rides and what not that I hate, it's the lines. I don't like the idea of waiting nearly an hour or longer just to enjoy about a minute or two of something else. The funny thing is that this Sunday we're going to one. But it's for Steven's birthday, so I'm pretty excited about it! :)

Well, that's that...I TAG whomever actually reads my blog...be sure to let me know you do it so that I can read yours!

Holy summer!!!

This weekend we spent in the sun and I have to say I -finally- feel like it's summer here now!!!

Saturday we joined up with some friends and enjoyed mud volleyball and beer! Great time...but got horribly sunburnt! OH WELL..that's normal for me! haha

Sunday, joined up with the same friends and played in a softball tournament. We ended up third and had a pretty decent time! I didn't feel too well as it was the beginning of TOM and the heat was getting to me...ugh, I hate having this disease, it just drags my whole body down ten times worse when I'm not feeling well!!! **Shakes fist at immune system**

With that all said, I must admit to something I hate this summer....

GLADIATOR SANDALS

There's just something about them that bugs me. I don't understand how people think they look fashionable..and quite honestly, I feel they take away from every single outfit that you're trying to pair them with!!!! UGH! haha

There is one style that is creeping in that I do like...and I have no idea why..haha

THE JUMPSUIT

I do have to admit that not -all- jumpsuits are good. I prefer the look where there's a bit of separation between the "top" and "bottom"..so that it almost doesn't appear you're wearing one. I also prefer a wider leg, definitely not the taper...

What do y'all think???

Fellow Bloggers...

Well, Ewok came to the car last night when we got home so I snagged her and made her stay in the house. She ended up sleeping with me which was a HUGE comfort...I missed her so much!!! I'm sure she's rather angry at me right now though because we locked her in the house all day...but oh well!

Lately, I've been reading a plethora of beauty, make up, and fashion blogs to pass the time while at work. I've found a majority of them from my friend Anna that lives in the UK...so pretty much all the blogs are also in the UK or the area around there. I don't mind them being fairly far away but it would be nice to relate to more American brands than the ones they always talk about. I do know exactly what they're talking about usually since I've lived in Ireland and have been to many of the same stores...but still...

On that note, I've been focusing more on the way that I take care of my look. Like today for instance, I didn't need to really do much with myself..but I went ahead and put my hair up the best I could with it being curly and dirty...then I did my normal foundation and mascara...but on the eyes, I used my shimmer highlighter and put that on the lids...it just added a nice pink shimmer to my face..then a small line of eyeliner on the top lid. It's simple but it does the trick to make me look a little more awake and put together.

Now, if only I could get my clothes to not be so darn boring!!!! haha
